Written by Work Today Screwed Today, on 18-09-2008 18:32 You have to remember, a company that attracts people that need a paycheck today is not exaclty attracting the highest caliber of employees, and they do not need the highest level of professionalism within the business community. Think of the reasons that an unemployed person needs a check.... right NOW... Now picture your local Labor Ready. Likely not the best part of town, near a bus stop, and is that a liquor store within 500 yards? They are an inexpensive alternate to higher priced staffing agencies, but think of what you are getting for saving a dollar. Call a respected employment agency like Adecco, Manpower, Staffmark or another respected agency to ensure that your laborers are prescreened and often have more stability in their lives. They also often have a stable supplemental staff on hand to whom they offer benefits such as paid holidays, vacation and medical insurance, which attracts a higher quality employee and helps retain the best talent. It's not worth the savings. There is a reason they are cheaper. |
